Our Story
A small kitchen with big personality.
Night Owl was born from a simple idea: Calgary deserved a place to find a real bowl of pho long after midnight.
We're a family-run Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Calgary, tucked into a small space that fills up fast on weekend nights. Our kitchen runs late — until 2am most nights, 3am on Fridays and Saturdays — because the city needs a good soup when everywhere else has gone dark.
The owners are passionate about quality: bones simmered for hours into clear, aromatic broth; noodles cooked just right; herbs picked fresh. The menu is intentionally focused — we'd rather do a handful of classics exceptionally well than spread ourselves thin.
What we hear most from our regulars: the food picks them up when they're sick, the broth holds up beautifully even reheated the next day, and the staff remember their names and usual orders. That's the kind of place we wanted to build.
